I got a speeding ticket from a police officer in a car. How do they check your speed, I was on the freeway, doing 75 on a 65. I know motorcycle cops use radar, or laser, how about car cops?
Their cars are equipped with radar - to the gills. Radar is everywhere on their vehicles.

I live in canada and here i know for a fact that the radar guns are built in the car. Also if you don’t want to pay the ticket, challenge it…most of the time the cops don’t have time to come(they don’t get paid for it) and if they are no shows you don’t have to pay

Same way. There is a general rule. Most officers will tell you. On a highway the saying goes 9 your fine, 10 your mine. This isn’t true in all states. Georgia, Ohio, and a few others mean what they say 65 or whatever is their speed limit.

The cops in cars can have radar also, or can follow you and "clock" you by their own speedometer….which has certified calibration……depending on the laws of the state you live in. Just remember, you go one mile over the speed limit, you’ve broken the law, and they have the choice to either give you a ticket, or arrest you.

freeways are also monitored by air. If there are markings on the roadway, the officer in the air will time you from one marker to another. Measuring the time to travel the distance will yield your speed.
